Withering blooms surprise spring’s warm ways
Faded grass grieves in green arms of May
Out of place sadness sings soft in breeze
Buried under pillows life naps in shade
Wake up
Wake up
It’s not time to hide
Look up
Look up
You don’t have to climb
Dreaming of smiles unburdened with chains
Recalling warm hugs not tacked with pain
Out of place sadness sings soft in breeze
Buried under blankets life prays His name
Wake up
Wake up
He still hears your plea
Look up
Look up
He wants you to see
The Psalmist awakes and grabs for his script
Words old and worn now glow with fresh light
Out of place sadness dissolves in soft breeze
A new day now sings from parched dry lips
Wake up
Wake up
It’s not time to die
Look up
Look up
He wants you to breathe
Look up
Look up
He wants you to see
Look up
Look up
It’s not time to hide

What is Kool ...
What is kool is going to the Little League Park. Grand boy Kole was 3 for 3 tonight with a triple scored three runs and played like a champ. Plus his team won 15-0 or something close to that.
My nephew Mikel got a big hit in his game. It’s great to see his confidence grow. I saw my favorite Florida nieces Gabrielle, Natasha and Andi, plus Gabrielle’s and Tasha’s kids, my great nieces and nephews down here. And had some good company to watch the game with.
It was fun to get out and breathe. To see, participate and be with family and friends.
How does this fit into my theme of rebuilding the house? Sometimes you have to get away from it and just be yourself and thank God for beautiful evenings at a ballpark. Sometimes just realizing you’re living and a participant in life is a great antidote for fear. Be blessed!

As Seen Through Blue Eyes
You might ask what is up with the picture on my page. Well I think it represents me at this present time in my life. One of the goals of this Blog is to hopefully rebuild this house. What encourages me most about this photo, (It’s located at the top of this page), is the shadow of the cross inside. It reminds me that Jesus is no longer on the cross. That He died and rose again. That gives me hope. And hope is a good place to start.
I think it is important to know that I am not writing from a position of “being all together”. I am a work in progress. The above might be a pretty photo, but somewhere off camera is a man hiding in the corner afraid another storm will come. I doubt this man is alone with this fear. So let’s build up our faith, you and me, line by line, precept upon precept and get our house rebuilt.
Let’s start here:
1John 4:4
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.
Let that be our heart’s cry, “The greater one lives within me.”
Bless you with strength and encouragement TODAY!
To be continued.

I am a But Man
For my first Blog I thought you might want to know something about the blogger. I am a but man. I have been for as long as I can remember. I pick my friends by their buts. I hire people by their buts. I have let people go because of their but. I chose to do business with people because of their buts. I vote based on a candidate's but.
I even base my belief and faith on a but. I think Jesus had/has the greatest but of all time. I have to quote a piece I wrote in a Faithwriter entry to explain.
"Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane. It was time. One of the strongest words He ever used on earth was about to be released. Jesus got down on His knees a stones throw from His sleeping disciples. He prayed so earnestly, an Angel from heaven came to strengthen Him. Luke 22:44 says, ”…His sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.” It was there, Jesus spoke the but that would change the world.
“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, BUT yours.”
Without that "but" there would have been no Calvery, no ressurection, no salvation. There would not be anything with out Jesus', "but."
We face a lot of challenges in life and the difference between those who triumph and those who become discouraged is the the use of our buts.
Our but defines who we are. We are either an overcomer who says, "I know there are many obstacles, BUT I can do this because of this that or the other." Or, we are a weak person who says, "I would love to do this that or the other, but I am tired, but I don't have a car, but I don't blah. blah, blah, blah.
Our but is either where we attatch our statement of faith, or where we hang our excuses.
When we start in getting in shape for the beach this Spring, let's not forget our spiritual man and make sure we check our buts out and get them in shape and work to keep them there.
God Bless.
