Withering blooms surprise spring’s warm ways
Faded grass grieves in green arms of May
Out of place sadness sings soft in breeze
Buried under pillows life naps in shade
Wake up
Wake up
It’s not time to hide
Look up
Look up
You don’t have to climb
Dreaming of smiles unburdened with chains
Recalling warm hugs not tacked with pain
Out of place sadness sings soft in breeze
Buried under blankets life prays His name
Wake up
Wake up
He still hears your plea
Look up
Look up
He wants you to see
The Psalmist awakes and grabs for his script
Words old and worn now glow with fresh light
Out of place sadness dissolves in soft breeze
A new day now sings from parched dry lips
Wake up
Wake up
It’s not time to die
Look up
Look up
He wants you to breathe
Look up
Look up
He wants you to see
Look up
Look up
It’s not time to hide
